World crisis: Aluminum is beginning to see the end of the tunnel.

This integrated aluminum producer is raising several hundreds of millions of dollars to finance major expansion plans. This major hydropower project will feed at least one greenfield and probably more. In Africa, political problems prevail but major projects such as this one and this one - scroll way down - will eventually be pursued, despite financial problems of some utilities. One greenfield is on the horizon in South Asia. Down under, > a major R&D project takes off to redesign the smelter of the future. In the far North, a greenfield is delayed –scroll way down - but will be completed. This emerging country may acquire a share in a major aluminum producer while inviting investors. And this greenfield project illustrates the future, total independence from Asia both of Western technology and financing.
