The world arena of primary aluminum just underwent a shock…

One of the bigger aluminum-producing nations – click here and scroll down to read a fascinating story -was well known for a long term, unshakable competitive advantage: a lot of excess energy at very low cost. Not true! You will see that what is at stake is a complete redistribution of competitive advantages on the planet… plus some pressure upwards on LME prices in the long term. Good news for some, bad news for others. And this greenfield project remains on schedule, promising to be the largest in the world. Never a dull moment in primary aluminum…
